Second hand uniform - and football boots

We are happy to announce the Academy will now be providing second hand uniform from September 2022. Parents seeking second hand uniform items should email Grazia Sgueglia on info@harrisbromley.org.uk.

How to donate. We would be very grateful if parents who are able to donate could bring any items to the school reception. This includes football boots and shin pads for football lessons at the Academy. If your daughter has outgrown her football boots and you are in a position to donate them, this would be very much appreciated. The PE department will store and loan these items to other students in need.

Students are expected to wear the Academy blazer and be of smart and sensible appearance at all times. Individual fashion statements such as extreme hair styles or colours, designer shirts, trainers and decorated footwear are not permitted.

No decorative attachments are to be worn in the hair. Hair bands must be plain black or white. Tram-lines, mohicans or other shaved shapes in the hair and shaved lines in eyebrows are not permitted. Make-up and nail varnish or nail extensions must not be worn at any time. Tinted or cosmetic contact lenses and decorative dental wear are not permitted nor are bandanas, hoods, caps or hats.

By requiring students to wear the Academy uniform, it is intended to develop their sense of loyalty to the community of which they are members, and to encourage them to take a pride in their appearance. Students are expected to wear full Academy uniform on the way to and from the Academy.

Jewellery and other forbidden items will be confiscated and only returned at the end of each half term. Post 16 students will be expected to dress formally in suits and to set an example to the younger students. (Refer Sixth Form Dress Code for full details).

If students are not in full uniform, they will not be able to attend lessons. They will work in the behaviour zone until the correct uniform is brought to them or they will be sent home to change. All items of uniform should be clearly marked or labelled, with students' name.
