Applying For a Place

If you are interested in a place for your daughter, you should name Harris Academy Bromley on the Common Application Form given to you by your Local Authority. If either of the new academies receive 180 applications or fewer, all students who apply will be offered a place.

The two nearest Harris Academies are highly oversubscribed, Harris City Academy Crystal Palace receives over 2000 applications each year and Harris South Norwood over 1300. It is highly likely that Harris Academy Bromley will be very popular and the following admissions criteria will need to be applied.

We will welcome applications from girls of all academic abilities. If the Academy is oversubscribed, children in public care and those with statements of Special Educational Needs, where the Academy is named on the statement will be prioritised first.

Girls with older siblings already at the Academy will be prioritised next. The remaining places will be allocated based on distance from home to Academy, with local children being prioritised.

There will be a right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel for unsuccessful applicants.

Applications will be welcome from the start of the autumn term.  If you are interested in a place, you should name the Academy on the Common Application Form (CAF) supplied to you by your Local Authority.

Parents of prospective students are encouraged to attend our Open Evening.  This is being held on Thursday 6th October, from 6pm – 9.30pm.
