Y7 Boulogne Trip - Details of day, before the trip

Missed the Parent and Carer information evening? Then check out this section for details on the trip.

Students should arrive for 5.25am outside the Academy on Friday 6th July, where they will be met by staff. The coach will be leaving HGABR at 5.35am prompt, to ensure it arrives at the Dover Ferry Terminal in time for the 8.25am departure.

Please make sure your daughters bring the following items with them:

  • Euros for spending
  • Their passport
  • Any medication (with completed form for staff)
  • Food and snacks (including lunch)
  • Sun cream

Students will then explore Boulogne from the beach, to the market and the shops within the area. They will get to test out their language skills a they speak and interact with the local's, while exploring the area.

For the return journey, it is expected that the coach leaves Calais Ferry Terminal at 20.35pm (19.35 UK time) and arrive back in Dover at 21.05pm. The coach should then arrive at HGABR around 22.45pm for parents to collect their daughters.

Staff will ensure that should their be any changes to the above, parents will be contacted with this information.

•Coach leaves HGABR on Friday 6th July at 05:35am
•Coach arrives at Dover Ferry terminal at 07:25am
•Ferry leaves Dover at 8:25am
•Ferry arrives in Calais at 10:55 (UK time of 9:55am)
•Short drive to Boulogne
 
The return journey:
 
•Short drive to Calais
•Coach arrives at Calais Ferry terminal at 19:35 (18:35 – UK)
•Ferry leaves Calais at 20:35 (19:35 – UK)
•Ferry arrives in Dover at 21:05
•Scheduled arrival time at HGABR - 22:45
