Robotics Project
We need a team of students who can research, design, plan, implement and present their own solution to a scientific problem presented to them by LEGO Education and NASA. A team who can build and program robots which respond to the environments they’re in and perform a range of different task with precision.
HGABR is looking for students who enjoy making things, taking things apart and re-making them even better.
We are looking for people who are interested in research. People who want to find resources and to read about and understand the science of space. Students who will figure out what problems needed to be solved and who can explain their research to others. This is a team-based project requiring students who are good at communicating, who can explain to the world why these designs and programs are the best possible solution to the problems they are trying to solve.
This project will allow those interested in computing, to program robots to complete tasks and navigate terrain.
We cannot wait to meet those interested in applying themselves to this exciting project and challenge.
Years 10 and 11 are welcome to join in the initial stages, but the national competition is only open to years 7-9.
First meeting - 4th February 2016 in DR2 at 4pm.
