Fedeartion Sports Day Heats

This year due to the increased amount of academies in the Federation, the qualifying for Federation Sports Day Finals continued with the same process as last year. Three regional heats days taking place and only the best 8 athletes from across the three heats days combined making the finals. Our girls’ performed incredibly well at Erith Stadium, finishing 2nd out of 10 Harris Academies. With an impressive 32 out of our 43 girls qualifying in their events for the finals.

There were some amazing individual and team performances on the day and we saw 4 school records and 1 Federation record broken by our athletes. The girls performed so well and should be full of confidence going into the finals day on the 11th July.

The pleasing aspect of the day is that we are currently placed in 3rd position overall going into the finals day at Crystal Palace Sports Centre, with a real prospect of bettering last year’s performance of a 3rd place finish!
