This week in assembly, students will be going over safeguarding, personal safety and other key topics within this area. Students will also be reminded of the HGABR community and the importance of representing the Academy, in and around school, when in uniform and on trips.

The assembly this week is very much part of the schools motto, All Can: We Will. A poem by Rudyard Kipling, published in 1895, written in the form of the author given advise to his son.


Word of the week is back! This weeks word is obdurate. Students will also be exploring extracts in tutor time from both fictional and non-fiction texts, to explore new words and what they mean.

Silent Art Auction 2018

Silent Auction HGABR.

In order to celebrate Christmas and help you with your choice of a gift to the loved ones, the Art Department at Harris Girls' Bromley is running a silent auction of some 54 artworks exhibited at our œCorridor Gallery it is true!... we have our own gallery!

The gallery is currently showing various artworks from our screen printing club and from some of our class workshops. Money raised from the sales will be split 50% to the students and 50% to the Art Department to invest in further materials.

Please do stroll through the online artwork. All Artwork is on paper and dimensions are 60cm x 42cm and it is sold unframed. You can also view the work on our site, by clicking this link: Silent Auction HGABR

Place your bid by choosing your favourite piece of artwork, or artworks and if you are the higher bidder then you will be the winner.

Make a note of the artwork number (shown in image) and send it in an email to Mr de Souza (  together with your bid.

We aim to finish biddings by Friday 7th December at 15:00. We will let you know the outcomes on 10th December by lunchtime, when you will be able to collect your artwork from at any time, ready to be framed.
