Mayor of London's Greener City Fund

Members of our Allotment Club came to help Mr Oscar from PADI Charity, plant 50 fruit trees all around our school!

Mr Oscar’s charity is representing the Mayor of London’s Greener City Fund to create and improve green spaces and encourage more tree planting in London.

We planted a variety of fruit trees; Vranja Quince, Spartan Apple; Oulling Golden Gage Plum; Morello Cherry, just to name a few.

Hopefully in a couple of years we can harvest our first ‘school grown’ fruit!

Students that helped on the day, said the below:

“It was very cold and the allotment crew and I, planted some trees with a nice generous man called Oscar, who helped us dig holes.”

Phebe - Year 7

“We dug holes, one meter deep, we put in the tree and then dug some more holes.”

Elisabeth - Year 7

“I like the fact that we get to help in some thing,s that can make a big difference to the school.”

Giovanna - Year 8

“We are sowing new life and make Oxygen with all those trees.”

Tyla - Year 7

One student created the below:
