International Women's Day
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity
This week, students at HGABR learnt what IWD stands for and the theme behind this year - "Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality".
The current affairs topic this week tackles their own perception as well as societies and how other women are making pledges for parity - defining feminism as a belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities.
"You don't have to be anti-man to be pro-woman".
